Wool provides a natural, breathable layer that wicks away moisture and regulates temperature, keeping you cozy in winter and cool in summer. Its plush texture adds comfort while its resilience ensures long-lasting durability for supportive sleep.
Cotton is a soft, natural material that enhances breathability and airflow, helping to regulate temperature throughout the night. Its moisture-wicking properties keep your mattress fresh and dry, while its durable and hypoallergenic nature makes it a great choice for a healthier, more comfortable sleep surface.
Natural wool mattresses offer several advantages, including being hypoallergenic, temperature-regulating, and eco-friendly. Wool's natural properties help wick away moisture and maintain a comfortable sleeping temperature year-round. Additionally, wool is naturally flame-resistant, reducing the need for chemical fire retardants.
Yes, wool is naturally hypoallergenic and resistant to dust mites, mold, and mildew, making wool mattresses a good choice for individuals with allergies or asthma. The natural lanolin in wool also helps repel dust mites and other allergens.
Wool mattresses tend to be firm initially but can soften over time as the wool fibers compress. This compression leads to a mid-firm to firm feel, providing good support while conforming to the body's contours. We manufacturers combine wool with cotton and polyester to ensure the mattress is supportive and last the test of time.
Some natural wool mattresses may have a mild, earthy scent due to the lanolin in the wool, especially in more humid environments. This odor typically dissipates over time as the mattress airs out. Choosing a mattress from a manufacturer that properly cleans and processes the wool can minimize this issue.

Yes, you must rotate your mattress once a month for the first 12 months and then once every 3 months thereafter. See full terms here. It is especially important to rotate the natural mattresses due to the organic materials. These mattresses are also double sided, meaning they can be rotated as well as flipped, which further enhances the longevity of the mattress.
OTTY can be used with a variety of standard bed bases, such as divans, slatted frames, adjustable beds, or platform beds. We highly recommend slatted bases because they allow better airflow beneath the mattress.
However, we do not offer any guarantee using the mattress with steel bed frames and thin steel supports, as they may not offer the essential support needed for the mattress. This lack of support could potentially result in sagging over time.
